If you are moving you will need to let us know your new details for us to update your account.
If we need more details we will contact you directly. Our offices are extremely busy and we aim to action your changes within 28 days where possible.

What you need to know
Liable person(s)
The Council Tax payer, or the "liable person", is responsible for seeing that the Council Tax bill is paid, and is the person who first fits one of the following descriptions, starting with number 1 and working through to number 6 in numerical order:
- Resident freeholder (owner)
- Resident leaseholder
- Resident statutory or secure tenant
- Resident with a licence to occupy
- Resident aged 18 years or over
- Owner - if the property is unoccupied
There can be more that one liable person for a property, for example a joint resident owner. In addition, married or common law partners of liable persons are also liable, even if they are not owners or tenants themselves.
Important declaration
The information you provide must be accurate and true. To give false information may result in prosecution. In submitting this form you authorise us to make any enquiries necessary to verify the information given. Please make sure you complete all relevant fields otherwise your application may be delayed. You must tell us when and if anything changes. Failure to do so, within 21 days, may result in a £70 penalty.
The Council is under a duty to protect the public funds it administers and to this end may use the information you provide on this form for the prevention and detection of fraud. It may also share this information with other agencies and organisations solely for these purposes.
