Asylum Seekers - Immigration advice
In the UK, providing immigration advice requires regulation by the Immigration Advice Authority (IAA) otherwise, it's a criminal offense.
Who Can Give Advice?

- IAA Register: Check if an adviser is registered on the GOV.UK website
- Citizens Advice
- Professional Bodies: Find regulated solicitors via the Law Society or Bar Council.
You may need to pay for legal advice, so it is recommended that you speak to Migrant Help for free advice and information.
- Level 1: Basic advice within Immigration Rules (e.g., notifying of address changes).
- Level 2: More complex advice, including limited asylum support.
- Level 3: Highest level, allowing representation at Immigration Tribunals.

It is open on Mondays, Tuesdays and Thursdays from 10:00am to 1:00pm.
