Community Governance Review Kidderminster Foreign
In January 2024, draft recommendations from the Local Government Boundary Commission for England (LGBCE) suggested creating two separate wards within Kidderminster Foreign parish: Kidderminster Foreign North (which would have four parish councillors) and Kidderminster Foreign South (which would have three) from May 2027.
On 19 February 2024, Kidderminster Foreign Parish Council agreed to object to the LGBCE’s draft recommendations. It was resolved to submit an official request to Wyre Forest District Council for a Community Governance Review (CGR) in respect of the Parish Council Boundary that borders part of the Habberley Road.
On 21 February 2024 Full Council agreed the principle of conducting a CGR of Kidderminster Foreign and Kidderminster. The review can examine, among other things, the boundary between the parish and town councils and electoral arrangements if a change is made. The next parish council elections for Kidderminster Foreign is in May 2027 so there is plenty of time to carry out the review before then.
