Missed Bin Collections

We've been unable to empty some bins today (Wednesday 7 October) due to the road closure on Wolverley Road.

If we haven't collected your bin as normal, please leave it out and we will get to you as soon as we can.

Apologies for any inconvenience caused.

Our crews start their rounds at 06:00, please make sure your bin is out for collection by this time. It is best to put it out the night before.

Rounds may change from week to week, so your bin could be emptied anytime from 06:00 to 16:30.

If your bin hasn't been emptied after 16:30, please check if your bin has a yellow or red contamination tag on it. If it has, please follow the instructions on the tag and put your bin out again on your next collection day. Crews will not come back to empty bins that weren't collected because the wrong waste was put in the bin.

You can only report your missed bin if:

  • There isn't a yellow or red tag
  • Your bin was out by 06:00 on the correct collection day and it is after 16:30. Check your bin collection day.
  • There was no obstruction or access problem for the bin lorry
  • If it is reported within 48 hours (or 2 working days) of your normal collection day

Missed rubbish collections

If we don't empty your black bin, we aim to return and collect it within 48 hours.

Missed recycling collections

If we fail to collect your green recycling bin, unfortunately we do not return for these. If you have any extra recycling for the next collection, please put it in an untied bag next to the bin and we will take this on the next collection.

Missed garden waste collections

If you are a garden waste customer and we fail to collect your brown garden waste bin, we will again accept additional waste in untied bags next to your bin, and we will take this on the next collection.
