Who we are and why we use personal data

However, there are circumstances where the council is legally required to disclose information, for example;

For the purpose of performing statutory enforcement duties
Disclosures required by law
For the purpose of detecting and preventing fraud
Auditing/ administering public funds

Information is processed by the council in accordance with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), the Data Protection Act 2018 and the Data (Use and Access Act) 2025.
