Planning applications
Statutory fees for planning applications are set by central government.
You can calculate the fee required using the fee calculator on the Planning Portal. or download a guide to the fees for planning application in England with effect from 1 April 2026 (pdf 132KB).
Fees are payable on submission of an application.
How to pay
Fees can be paid on the Planning Portal at the time of an online application; via our online payments; or by enclosing a cheque (payable to Wyre Forest District Council) with a postal application.

If the application is invalid we will let the applicant know by letter/email.
The applicant can then withdraw application and receive a refund from the planning portal/Council or can pay the 'Invalid application fee' and the LPA will help the applicant so the application can be validated

Copies, where appropriate, are available free up to a cumulative single transaction value of £10 for individuals (the discretion of Director of Service to be applied in cases of multiple separate transactions) and charged at full cost to representatives of professional and/or commercial companies.
Copies of all planning application plans and decision notices made from 2006 onwards are available online at zero cost.
