Household support fund

Households who are struggling with the cost of household essentials this winter can get help with food and energy costs from the Government’s Household Support Fund. Funding has been distributed to county councils in England to help those most in need this winter.

Wyre Forest District Council has received a share of this funding to provide help to low income households to support immediate needs such as food, energy and water costs and other wider essentials. Wyre Forest Citizens Advice Bureau are managing the Household Support Fund on behalf of the council. If you are a member of a household that is struggling, you can apply online, chat to an advisor or call the Worcestershire area telephone number 0808 278 7891.

To be eligible for the scheme you must be experiencing financial hardship, receiving a low income/benefits. Prospective awardees will need to provide the following documents:

Alongside our other discretionary funding, we will work with Act On Energy and other agencies to help those who are struggling this winter. To be considered for support you must be a resident of Wyre Forest, over 16 and be without sufficient resources to meet your immediate short-term needs.
