Present: Councillors Mr John Jordan (Chairman), Mrs Hilary Baxter, Mrs Pauline Hill, Mr Derek Killingworth, Richard Wignall, Graham Higgs, Mrs Diane Bird.
In attendance: Mr S Clee Clerk, Bill Waldron Lengthsman, WPC Nicky Merson, District Cllr Ian Hardiman.
Apologies: There were no apologies for absence although the Council noted the immediate resignation of Councillor Mrs Pauline Hart on 10th December 2019 with great regret. The Chairman stated she had been a loyal member of the Parish Council and he wished her well for the future.
226 Confirmation of the Minutes
The minutes of the last meeting held on 12th November 2019 as previously circulated were approved and signed by the Chairman.
227 Declaration of Interest for a) The Meeting and b) Any Changes to be notified to the Registers of Interests and Gifts & Hospitality;
a) None declared. b) There were none.
228 Public Speakers:
WPC Nicky Merson addressed Council for the first time. She was pleased to confirm there has been no incidents within the parish to report.
229 Planning Matters:
The Council noted the current list of Planning Applications approved and pending by WFDC.
Council considered Planning Application 19/0799/Full for the construction of a car port at Stone Casa, Stone Meadow, off Butts Lane. It was RESOLVED to support this application.
Council also considered Planning Application 19/0801/Full for the construction of a garage at Millhouse, Stone Meadow, off Butts Lane. It was RESOLVED to support this application.
230 Councillors Reports
Written reports had been received and circulated to all councillors from County Cllr Hart. District Cllr Ian Hardiman reported the progressive alliance who now run Wyre Forest District Council were proposing to remove free car parking throughout the district within their budget. They were also proposing to increase the time car park users have to pay to park from 6.30pm to 9.30pm every day! Councillor Mrs Bird questioned the removal of free parking for disabled badge holders which she thought Cllr Hart had referred to at the last meeting. The Clerk advised the “blue badge scheme” was a national scheme and had nothing to do with the local authority. He confirmed there was no proposals to charge disabled users to pay to park with a blue badge on district council owned car parks.
231 Correspondence & Progress Reports
There was no additional correspondence.
232 Finances
- It was noted the Bank Balance currently stands at £13, 977.97 which includes earmarked reserves and grants for specific works.
- Accounts amounting to £1,607.51 made retrospectively were approved.
- The Council noted the Income & Expenditure Spreadsheets circulated with the agenda for Municipal Year 2019-2020.
- The Council noted the Budget Working Groups proposals for the Council Tax Precept for 2020-2021 and RESOLVED to set the Precept for 2020-2021 at £13,200.00.
233 Date of the next Meeting
There being no other business the meeting ended at 21.35pm. The next meeting will take place on Tuesday 14th March 2020 commencing at 7.30pm.
