News release issued:

The British Heart Foundation had an extra financial boost recently when it was presented with a cheque from Councillor John Byng, Chairman of Wyre Forest District Council, who represents the Wribbenhall and Arley Ward.

The British Heart Foundation has been Councillor Byng’s chosen charity during his term in office May 2024 – 2025.

Councillor John Byng said “I’m really pleased to be handing over a cheque for £3,173 as I know how important donations are to the foundation.

“The two major fundraisers were The Chairman’s Quiz, held at St. George’s Hall in Bewdley, and the Chairman’s Ball, held in conjunction with the Chairman of Worcestershire County Council, Councillor Tracey Onslow.

Zoe Roberts received the cheque on behalf of The British Heart Foundation in Kidderminster. Zoe said “It is only through donations and fundraising like this that the British Heart Foundation can fund advances in research that will get us closer than ever to a world free from the fear of heart and circulatory diseases.”
