Water Management Officer

North Worcestershire Water Management is a shared service for councils in north Worcestershire. Our aim is to protect and enhance the water environment whilst improving flood resilience. We look after ordinary watercourses in the area.

In this role you'll assist the delivery of a property flood resilience scheme to households, engaging with communities and individuals, contractors, surveyors and partner organisations as well as helping the team across a broad range of work that we do. The project will run for 24 months.

Senior Water Management Officer

As a Senior Water Management officer you’ll have a varied role with the aim of protecting and enhancing the water environment in north Worcestershire.

Leading response and planned work in the Redditch area, you’ll be responding to planning applications, considering and authorising consents for works in watercourses, helping respond to flood events, investigating flooding and drainage problems and helping the council look after the watercourses in the area.

This is an exciting opportunity to join our dedicated and hardworking team. We are looking for versatility, self-motivation and a keen interest in the great outdoors. During your role, you will be engaged in all aspects of horticultural work including:

  • Operating pedestrian lawnmowers and strimmers
  • Shrub bed maintenance to include hedge cutting, pruning and weeding
  • Site inspections, litter picking and emptying bins
  • Assisting in the day-to-day challenges of grounds maintenance across Wyre Forest

Civil Enforcement Officer

Do you care about keeping Wyre Forest safe, clean and well looked after? We’re looking for a Civil Enforcement Officer to join our team. You’ll patrol our streets and car parks, help tackle illegal parking, littering and fly-tipping, and support public safety across the district. You’ll work closely with the community, speak with local residents and businesses, and be part of campaigns to raise awareness of local rules and services.

This is a hands-on role that involves being out and about in all weathers. Shifts include weekends, evenings and bank holidays, and full training is provided.
