Principal Planning Policy Officer

We're looking for an experienced planning professional to join our team.

You will collaborate with a dedicated team of professionals, engage with stakeholders and utilise your expertise to lead on plan-making whilst also supporting the Development Management function. You will also directly line manage a small team of policy officers.

Civil Enforcement Officer

Do you care about keeping Wyre Forest safe, clean and well looked after? We’re looking for a Civil Enforcement Officer to join our team. You’ll patrol our streets and car parks, help tackle illegal parking, littering and fly-tipping, and support public safety across the district. You’ll work closely with the community, speak with local residents and businesses, and be part of campaigns to raise awareness of local rules and services.

This is a hands-on role that involves being out and about in all weathers. Shifts include weekends, evenings and bank holidays, and full training is provided.

Housing Officer

We're looking for someone to work with private sector landlords to increase access to the private rented sector including through promotion of the Council’s schemes, Rent Bonds, the Social Lettings Agency and Private Sector Leasing schemes for people in housing need.  

You’ll support tenants as they move in and out, offering tenancy support and pre-tenancy training, including for those with complex needs.

You should be qualified to HNC or above qualification or A levels or equivalent and have a minimum of 2 years related work experience.

Housing Project Officer

We're looking for someone to lead and support on a number of projects that develop services, strategies, policies and procedures across the remit of the Strategic Growth team with a focus on housing, homelessness and domestic abuse.

In this role you'll be providing support in managing various types of accommodation, including temporary, supported, and private rented housing. Coordinating and verifying data collection for reporting and compliance, and conducting regular Housing Needs Surveys to inform planning and development within the district.
