Projects include new homes, workspaces, public spaces, and cultural hubs. You'll also help plan future developments worth over £100 million.

Part time

Project Officer

We're looking for someone to co-ordinate and deliver projects, generate income, save costs and liaise with internal teams, partners and community groups around the climate change and carbon reduction work of the Council.

The Council has a Climate Change and Carbon Reduction Plan in place with ambitions to reduce it's carbon emissions through a variety of measures alongside pursing income generating or cost saving opportunities.

Housing Support Officer - private rented sector

We're looking for someone to help people find and keep homes in the private rented sector. You'll work with landlords to promote council housing schemes like Rent Bonds and Private Sector Leasing.

Your job will include checking and managing properties, making sure they're safe, clean, and meet legal standards. You'll also support tenants, including those with complex needs, with training and advice.

You’ll need good qualifications (A-levels or similar), at least 2 years of housing experience, and knowledge of private housing rules.

Strong IT, teamwork, and communication skills are important. You’ll work closely with housing and support teams to help tackle homelessness.

Planning Policy Officer

We're looking for a Planning Officer to support the formulation and implementation of policies and strategies related to planning for our District. This is your opportunity to make a significant impact, working on landscaping, green infrastructure and other policies to help shape the environment, meet the needs of our residents and business and to ensure sustainable growth.  

As a Planning Officer, you will collaborate with a dedicated team of professionals, engage with stakeholders and utilise your expertise to lead on plan-making whilst also supporting the Development Management function. 

Wyre Forest District Council has an up-to-date Development Plan with a 5-year housing land supply but are commencing our Local Plan Review to meet the requirements of the new NPPF and housing numbers.
