What is the purpose and expected outcomes?
The aim of this Supplementary Planning Document is to provide detailed advice on Wyre Forest District Council’s expectations for the delivery of high-quality development. The SPD will clearly set out how the District Council’s vision for the site and will provide certainty and clarity for those bringing forward development within the District.

The SPD provides more detail to policies contained within the WFDC adopted Local Plan 2016-2036. It will assist officers, particularly within Development Management on design related and other policy considerations, when assessing applications.

The SPD was consulted on with statutory consultees and members of the public.

The document is aimed at local authority planning officers, applicants, developers, relevant organisations and the wider community.

The SPD uses existing policies in the Wyre Forest District Local Plan (Adopted April 2022) and provides further guidance on these.

Prior to the Equality Act 2010, there were 3 separate public sector equality duties covering race, disability and gender. The Equality Act 2010 replaced these with a new single equality duty covering the following protected characteristics.
