Present: Councillors Mr Jim Baker (Chairman), David Nott, Ms Sandra Woodhouse, Ms Sue Morris, Andrew Croot, Douglas Godwin
In attendance: Mr S Clee - Clerk and Mr Nicholas Clarke
Apologies: Councillor Ms Sally Watkins, Richard Williams and County Councillor Dan Morehead.
2504 Confirmation of the Minutes:
The minutes of the last meeting held on 29 September 2025, as previously circulated, were approved and signed by the Chairman.
2505 Declaration of Interest for a) The Meeting and b) Any Changes to be notified to the Registers of Interests and Gifts & Hospitality.
There were none.
2506 Public Participation:
Mr Nicholas Clarke addressed Council relating to the recently approved planning application for two dwellings on Land adjoining Heightington Road at Bliss Gate. The Clerk confirmed the PC had not been consulted on this application.
2507 Planning Applications:
014 Rev-25/0684/S73 Variation of Condition 11 (Works carried out in Accordance with approved plans) attached to planning permission 25/0464/FUL at The Hydeaway, Chapel Lane, Callow Hill, Rock
It was RESOLVED to recommend APPROVAL to this application upon reconsideration with additional information from the Planning Officer provided PD Rights are withdrawn, and no further planning applications be sort.
015 23/0777/CLE Certificate of Lawfulness to establish that the existing dwelling replaced a previous chalet on the land and has not been extended in excess of 10 years at White Gates, Station Road, Far Forest.
It was RESOLVED to recommend APPROVAL.
2508 Correspondence:
There was no additional news.
2509 County and District Reports:
In the absence of all our District Councillor’s there were no reports. County Councillor Dan Morehead had sent a detailed report and this was circulated to all Rock Councillors.
2510 Finances:
- The council approved payments totalling £1739.00 for payment tonight.
- The council noted the current Receipt and Payment sheets for 2025-2026.
- The Parish Council received 11 applications for Community Grants were received this year Grants for local Community Groups were considered and the following grants approved;
Wyre Forest Nightstop £225.00, Heightington Village Hall £565.00, Far Forest Village Hall £1,500.00, Rock & Far Forest Nurses Charity £325.00, Far Forest Scouts £500.00, Bliss Gates Playfields £770.00, Far Forest Baptist Church £325.00, Clows Top Village Hall £800.00, Sociables Long Bank £225.00 and Support@ Men United £225.00
2511 Date of the next Meeting:
There being no other business, the meeting ended at 8.15pm. The next meeting will be held on Monday 24 November 2025, which will be at the Sports Pavilion, Callow Hill, DY12 9DB at 7.00pm.
