Councillors Sue Morris, Sally Watkins, Nick Stones, Douglas Godwin and County Councillor Dan Morehead.

The next item on the agenda was the co-option of a Councillor to replace Colin Thornton. The two applicants had been asked to attend tonight to give a short talk about themselves and their reasons for standing for co-option. Isobel Ward was the only one in attendance and was therefore co-opted, made her Declaration of Acceptance of office and took her seat on the Council.

2220 Confirmation of the minutes

The minutes of the last meeting held on 26 September 2022 as previously circulated, were approved and signed by the Chairman.

2221 Declaration of Interest for a) The meeting and b) Any changes to be notified to the Registers of Interests and Gifts and Hospitality.

This was no declarations made.

2222 Public participation:

There were no members of the public who wished to address the council. There was no representative from the local Police in attendance tonight.

2223 Planning Applications:

030 22/0804/HOU proposed side extension to form living space at ground and bedroom extension at first floor at Blakemoor Cottage, Tenbury Road, Clows Top.

It was RESOLVED to support this application.

031 22/0812/HOU Demolition of existing breakfast room and store and erection of new kitchen extension at Tile Cottage, Kinlet Road, Far Forest.

It was RESOLVED to support this application.

032 22/0823/PNR Change of Use of agricultural buildings to Dwellinghouses (use class C3) and The Tynings, Church Lane, Far Forest.

It was RESOLVED to support this application.

033 22/0845/HOU Home office/gym outbuilding (resubmission of approved application 21/1167/HOU) at The Goddess Farmhouse Greenway, Rock.

It was RESOLVED to support this application.

034 22/0844/HOU Proposed rear single storey extension following the demolition of the existing conservatory and relocation of existing oil tank to the front drive at Alton Wood, Long Bank, Bewdley.

It was RESOLVED to support this application.

035 22/0781/FUL Conversion of a former agricultural building to residential use to provide annexe accommodation at Byre Farm, Netherton Lane, Dunley.

It was RESOLVED to support this application provided an archaeological report is carried out and it is in support of this application.

2224 Correspondence:

There was none as all emails have been circulated to councillors prior to the meeting. It was noted Councillor Chris Price was writing tonight’s report for the Rock and District News.

2225 District and county councillor reports:

District Councillor Anna Coleman then gave a brief report limited to the fact that the Grant available for discretionary use by the district councillors has been reduced this year to £500 per councillor. She then said that the grant from both herself and her husband Councillor Roger Coleman would be given to Rock Parish Council to be used towards the proposed memorial to mark the Platinum Jubilee of HM Queen Elizabeth II at Clows Top. County Councillor Dan Moorehead sent a written report previously circulated to all members.

2226 Finances:

1. Accounts amounting to £6,861.75 were approved for payment.
2. The Council noted the current income and expenditure spreadsheets circulated with the agenda to date. 
3. Only seven applications for Community Grants were received this year. In accordance with usual practice, the fund was divided between these seven, each receiving a grant of £714.00 the organisations being, Little Acorns, Far Forest School PTA, Far Forest Scouts, Rock and Far Forest RBL, Rock and Far Forest Nursing charity, Heightington Village Hall and Bliss Gates Village Gields Charity.

2227 Date of the next Meeting:

There being no other business the meeting ended at 7.32pm. The next meeting will be held on Monday 28 November 2022.
