In attendance: Mr S Clee, Clerk, Mr & Mrs Clive Skidmore, WPCSO Lisa Tranter, PC Steve Thomas, Mr & Mrs Adrian Reed, County Councillor Dan Morehead & Mr Ben Nott.

2202 Confirmation of the Minutes

The minutes of the last meeting held on 27 June 2022 as previously circulated, were approved and signed by the Chairman.

2203 Declaration of Interest for a) The Meeting and b) Any Changes to be notified to the Registers of Interests and Gifts & Hospitality.

This was no declarations made.

2204 Public Participation:

Mr Ben Nott addressed council and stated he would shortly be submitting a revised planning application at Gorst Hill. It was likely to be put before the Council at the September meeting. PC Steve Thomas addressed Council and stated we have had an extremely quiet period around the parish in the last few months. He introduced WPCSO Lisa Tranter to the meeting and confirmed the Bewdley & Rural team were now at maximum numbers.

2205 Planning Applications:

014 22/0520/HOU Proposed single storey rear extension@ Woodside Cottage, Lye Head Road, Rock.

It was RESOLVED to support this application.

015 22/0587/NMA  Repositioned dwelling on site@Forest View Bungalow, Callow Hill, Rock.

It was RESOLVED to support this application.

2206 Correspondence:

There was none as all emails have been circulated to Councillors prior to the meeting. It was noted Councillor Emily Bourne was writing tonight’s report for the Rock & District News.

2207 District & County Councillor Reports:

County Councillor Dan Morehead reported he was still addressing on going issued relating to speeding traffic along Callow Hill and through Far Forest. He confirmed he had transferred 50% of the costs of a new VAS Sign that can be charged via Solar Power to the PC. He also confirmed a new District Liaison Highways Manager, Hayley Steele had been appointed for Wyre Forest area. The Clerk asked Councillor Morehead if he could arrange a site visit ASAP so the street furniture can be installed at two locations on Callow Hill and in Far Forest so the new VAS can be ordered and installed by the supplier. It was noted we were without any of our three District Councils again and no written reports had been submitted. The Clerk was asked to raise this matter with WFDC and the Monitoring Officer.

2208 Bliss Gate Village Fields Committee:

Council had been invited to appoint two representatives to the Bliss Gate Village Fields Committee. The Clerk clarified that when the Bliss Gate Village Field was formed and constituted the terms of reference stated a Management Committee will be formed and two Parish Councillors or their representatives appointed to manage the asset for the benefit of the Children at Bliss Gate. Council decided to defer this matter till the September Meeting.

2209 Finances:

  1. Accounts amounting to £132.04 were approved for payment.
  2. The Council noted the current Income & Expenditure Spreadsheets circulated with the agenda to date.

2210 Date of the next Meeting:

There being no other business the meeting ended at 19.40pm. The next meeting will be held on Monday 25th July 2022.
