Join us on Thursday 8 May 2025 as we commemorate VE80 Day, marking the 80th anniversary of Victory in Europe Day, which signified the end of World War II in Europe on 8 May 1945.

A Flag Flying Ceremony and Proclamations will take place outside Wyre Forest House (Finepoint Way, Kidderminster, DY11 7WF), with the event beginning at 9:30 am. Guests will be formally welcomed by Councillor John Byng, Chairman of the Council, and at 9:45 am, he will raise the flag in honour of this historic occasion.

This public event is an opportunity to pay tribute to those who served and sacrificed, with local dignitaries and community members gathering to reflect on the significance of VE Day. All are welcome to attend, and we encourage everyone to join us in marking this momentous anniversary.
