Council services over the festive period

There are no planned changes to rubbish or recycling collections over Christmas or New Year. Wyre Forest District Council is reminding residents to make sure their bin is out for collection at 6am. The Hub, the council’s customer service centre, will be closed to visitors from Friday 24 December and reopens on Tuesday 4 January 2022 to anyone with an appointment. Phone lines will be open between 10am and 4pm on Wednesday 29 and Thursday 30 December.

The free parking at all council-owned car parks from 3pm until 8am the next day offer is on until Sunday 2 January 2022.

Bewdley Museum closes its doors on Friday 24 December and partly reopens on Tuesday 1 February 2022 with the gift shop, Garden Kitchen Café and walkway into the gardens welcoming visitors again. The museum fully reopens on Saturday 5 March 2022.

Worcestershire Regulatory Services’ phone lines will be closed from Friday 24 December and will reopen Wednesday 29 December until Friday 31 December, 9am until 5pm. Phone lines will also be closed Monday 3 January 2022 and reopen on Tuesday 4 January 2022 at 9am.

Household recycling centres in the district, managed by Worcestershire County Council, will be closed for three days; Christmas Day, Boxing Day and New Year’s Day. If residents need to visit the household recycling centre, they are being reminded to avoid these three days and to not fly-tip by leaving items outside the gates.
