Community Right to Reclaim Land
Measures for expansion and or protection of green spaces
The Community Right to Reclaim Land will help communities to improve their local area by making information about land owned by public bodies more easily available and help to ensure that under-used or unused land owned by public bodies and some other organisations is brought back into beneficial use.

A demonstrator map provides citizens with information about publicly owned land and buildings in their local area. Under this improved system for requesting the sale of land through the Public Request to Order Disposal, anyone can send a request to the Secretary of State setting out why they think land or property covered by the Request process is under-used or vacant and why it should be disposed of to enable it to be brought back into use.
