Mitton Marsh Conservation Area

Things to see and do

Mitton Marsh Conservation Area was established in 2021 and forms part of the River Stour wildlife corridor and flood plain. The site is made up of a two halves. One is open to public access and has a pleasant riverside walk linking Mill Lane with Millfields Way and open pasture which is grazed annually by our cattle. The other half is closed to public access as it is mainly wet woodland and continues upstream to just past the old Severn Valley Railway viaduct.

Under Mill Lane is an Eel Pass funded by the Severn Rivers Trust which allows young eels to pass upstream along the Stour against the flow of the river.
