Notice of Proposed Disposal of Open Space Land

Local Government Act 1972, section 123(1) and (2A)

Notice is hereby given that Wyre Forest District Council is considering the disposal of areas of land forming part of Burlish Country Park (also known as Burlish Meadows) by way of freehold to Kidderminster Harriers Football Club to enable an expansion of provision of football pitches.

The areas of land proposed for disposal are shown edged red on plans available for inspection by contacting jamie.sloan@wyreforestdc.gov.uk. The plans are also available within the Cabinet papers.

The Council's Cabinet considered the potential disposal of the land at its meeting on 9 July 2026. View the report considered by Cabinet.

Any person wishing to object to the proposed disposal should submit their objection in writing, stating the grounds of objection, no later than 14 August 2026, to:

All objections received by the above date will be considered by the Council before any decision is made regarding the proposed disposal.

The publication of this notice is required by Section 123(2A) of the Local Government Act 1972 and does not itself mean that the disposal will proceed.
