What would you focus on?

News release issued:

Residents, businesses and organisations in Wyre Forest are being urged to have their say and help shape council priorities and the future direction of the district.

A new online survey launches today, Friday 14 July. It is seeking people’s views on what the council does now and what it should be doing over the next four years. It is asking for views on what makes somewhere a good place to live and what needs improving in the area. Results will help shape a new Corporate Plan in the autumn.

The existing corporate plan runs out this year and the new plan will direct the council’s focus and energies up to 2027.

Wyre Forest District Council Leader, Councillor Marcus Hart said:

“We are looking at prioritising a safe, clean and green living environment and supporting a successful local economy over the course of the next four years. We would like to hear if you agree with those priorities.

Demands on local government are continuing to grow but funding is not keeping pace with inflation. We therefore would like to hear how we should prioritise use of our limited resources. “

The survey is now live on the council website and will close at 5pm on Friday 18 August. Paper copies will be available from The Hub in Green Street, Kidderminster and Wyre Forest House, Finepoint Way, Kidderminster.
