Reasons for developing an LLP (including evidence where relevant)

The local lettings plan will be flexible and non-discriminatory, and all applicants will be considered on a case-by-case basis.

As well as 12 shared ownership properties, this development is made up of 1 bedroom maisonettes and both 2 bedroom and 3 bedroom houses. There is also a block of 2 bedroom flats.

In the first instance all applicants must meet the requirements of Wyre Forest District Council allocations policy and register on the Councils Choice Based Letting scheme housing register, currently Home Choice Plus. 

Subsequently a minimum of 75% applicants must meet the requirements of Wyre Forest District Councils allocations policy and register on the Councils Choice Based Lettings scheme housing register, currently Home Choice Plus.

Aims and Objectives of LLP

The overarching aim of a local lettings plan is to help achieve balanced communities and support greater community cohesion and sustainability; in doing so contribute to making the area an even better place to live, work and visit.

All new tenants to this scheme will be required to undertake tenancy checks. This is to ascertain any issues that may cause further issues in the development. If applicants do not pass the tenancy checks any offer may be withdrawn.
