Since 2014, we have provided financial support to community groups and parish councils to enable assets and services to be transferred to them where this contributes to a reduction in costs to the Council. This includes, but not exclusively, maintaining open spaces, litter picking, bin emptying, and taking responsibility for facilities.

Below is a list of annual funding to organisations to date which may be for one year or up to four, in some cases.

We are strongly committed to the localism agenda and want to see more examples of community groups taking over responsibility for local services or working in partnership to enhance services. We will provide financial support to community groups to enable assets and services to be transferred to them. This includes, but not exclusively, maintaining open spaces, litter picking, bin emptying, and taking responsibility for facilities.

The Localism Fund supports community organisations with one off grant funding to provide additional or enhanced services, or to maintain services, in their areas through grant funding where the project meets our two corporate priorities:

  • Support you to a contribute to a successful local economy
  • Support you to live in clean, green and safe communities

Below is a list of one off projects or initiatives supported to date.

We will only contact you regarding this feedback.
