Park for free after 3 this Christmas!
News release issued:
Free parking sessions will be available again at all Wyre Forest District Council car parks during the festive period.
From Tuesday 1 December to Thursday 24 December, visitors can park for free between 3pm and 6pm, Monday to Friday, in all council-owned car parks.
This offer includes short stay car parks, which have a maximum two-hour limit. Motorists — including those using the MiPermit app — won’t need to pay during these hours. A ticket is still required, and any overpayments won’t be refunded.
This festive offer is in addition to the council’s free hour parking scheme at Batemans Yard, Kidderminster, Gardners Meadow, Bewdley and Vale Road, Stourport
The festive parking offer only applies to car parks owned by Wyre Forest District Council. It does not include Weaver’s Wharf car park in Kidderminster, which is privately owned.
Councillor Nathan Desmond, Cabinet Member for Operational Services, said:
“Christmas is an important time for our local businesses, and we want to encourage people to make the most of what our town centres have to offer. Free parking after 3pm gives visitors more time to shop locally and enjoy the festive season. By combining this offer with our free hour parking scheme, you can stay for up to four hours without charge in our long stay car parks - a great reason to support our high streets this Christmas.”
