Official opening of Talbot Park in Kidderminster town centre

Talbot Park, the newly created park and green space in Worcester Street Kidderminster, is to be officially opened on Saturday, 2 May.
To celebrate the launch of Kidderminster’s new park, Mrs Jean Talbot, wife of Charles Talbot MBE, who the park is named after, will be officially cutting the ribbon with Councillor Marcus Hart, Leader of Wyre Forest District Council. The ribbon cutting ceremony will be held at 11am on the steps of the new park. This event is open to everyone.
Councillor Marcus Hart, Leader of Wyre Forest District Council said:
“We are delighted to open Talbot Park which sits in a stunning newly created space connecting Worcester Street and Bromsgrove Street. It has been created and developed with funding from the government’s Future High Streets Fund and Wyre Forest District Council and is a key part of the Council’s adopted vision for the town ‘Kidderminster 2040’.”
"We hope this park and green space planted with trees will become a meeting and relaxation place, enjoyed by all for many generations to come.”
