Park for free after 3 this Christmas!

News release issued:

Free parking sessions will be available again at all Wyre Forest District Council car parks during the festive period.

From Monday 1 December to Wednesday 24 December, visitors can park for free between 3pm and 6pm, Monday to Friday, in all council-owned car parks.

This offer includes short stay car parks, which have a maximum two-hour limit. Motorists — including those using the MiPermit app — won’t need to pay during these hours. A ticket is still required, and any overpayments won’t be refunded.

This festive offer is in addition to the council’s free hour parking scheme at Batemans Yard, Kidderminster, Gardners Meadow, Bewdley and Vale Road, Stourport

The festive parking offer only applies to car parks owned by Wyre Forest District Council. It does not include Weaver’s Wharf car park in Kidderminster, which is privately owned.

Councillor Nathan Desmond, Cabinet Member for Operational Services, said:

“We’re really pleased to offer extra free parking again this festive season. It’s a great opportunity to support our local businesses — and if you use both schemes together, you can park for free for up to four hours in our long stay car parks. It’s easier than ever to shop local, enjoy what’s on our doorstep, and help our high streets thrive.”
