Tuesday 8 March 2022, 7pm, Stone Parish Rooms

Present:

Councillors:  Mrs Pauline Hill (Chairman), Mrs Fiona Lawson Hughes, Mr Derek Killingworth, Mrs Hilary Baxter and Mrs Jane Lacy.

In attendance:

Mr S Clee (Clerk), Bill Waldron; Lengthsman and CSO Kate Eastwood, Councillor Marcus Hart, Mr Robin Drew and Mr Douglas Hine.

352 Parish meeting

The Chairman opened the Parish Meeting and invited any elector residing with Stone Parish to address the Council there was nobody who wished to speak so the Parish Meeting was closed at 7.01pm when the Ordinary Parish Meeting Commenced.

353 Co-option to vacant seat(s)

Following advertising around the Parish there was one interested person who had written to some council members. It was agreed to consider this at our next meeting when everybody can be furnished with the applicant’s information.

354 Confirmation of the minutes:

The minutes of the last meeting held on 9 November 2021 as previously circulated were approved and signed by the Chairman. The January meeting was cancelled due to no business to transact.

355 Declaration of Interest for a) The Meeting and b) Any changes to be notified to the Registers of Interests and Gifts and Hospitality.

  1. None declared.
  2. There were none.

356 Planning matters:

The Council noted the current list of Planning Applications approved and pending by WFDC. Members were reminded planning application number 22/0019/FUL had been circulated earlier in the week and members agreed to email the clerk with their recommendations.

357 Correspondence and Progress reports:

There were no items to consider which had not been previously reported via our email exchange.

358 County and District reports:

Council noted the written reports from County & District Cllr Hart which had been emailed prior to the meeting. Cllr Hart enquired about the progress of the gateways and VAS for Stanklyn Lane. The Clerk stated has of noon today the county funding he had offered had not been received.

359 west Mercia priorities for the next quarter

Council RESOLVED to make Stanklyn Lane, Stone Hill and Worcester Road its favoured 3 priorities for addressing speed.

360 Finances:

  1. It was noted the bank balance currently stands at £19,345.77 (Current Account) and £5,005.40 (Reserve Account).
  2. Accounts amounting to £3,727.26 made retrospectively were approved.
  3. The Council noted the current income and expenditure spreadsheets circulated with the agenda to date.
  4. It noted to Council Tax Banding for all parishes in Wyre Forest for the next municipal year.

361 St Mary's churchyard

A couple of councillors and the clerk had been contacted by a member of the public regarding the churchyard generally. Councillor Fiona Lawson-Hughes the council's representative on the parochial church council agreed to make enquiries and report back to the issues raised.

362 Date of the next meeting:

There being no other business the meeting ended at 7.49pm. The next meeting will take place on Tuesday 10 May 2022 at Stone Parish Rooms this being the AGM.
