Independent Persons required for Wyre Forest District Council’s Independent Remuneration Panel for Councillors’ Allowances

Applications are invited from members of the public for vacancies on the following panel:

Independent panel on the review of councillors' allowances

The council is required to have an independent panel to consider and advise the council on the level and type of allowances to be paid to councillors. The panel considers and makes recommendations on the amount of allowances that should be paid to district councillors.

The appointment is of a voluntary nature, although a small allowance is paid. Meetings of the panel can be held to suit the convenience of the panel. The panel will normally meet on around three occasions between July and August.

Elected members of any local authority, people with a political affiliation and officers of Wyre Forest District Council are not eligible for these appointments.
