Wyre Forest parkrun
parkruns are currently under review due to the coronavirus pandemic.
parkrun is a FREE 5k timed run on Saturday mornings at 9am which is happening all around the country and world.
Wyre Forest parkrun started on 29 August 2015 at the Wyre Forest Visitor Centre, Callow Hill in Bewdley, and now gets close to 200 runners/joggers attending each Saturday.
Our Sports Development team was able to secure the funding to provide this fantastic opportunity to get fit, by obtaining funding from the WF Clinical Commissioning Group and the Sports Partnership Hereford & Worcestershire. We found volunteers from Cleobury Mortimer Running Club to get the parkrun off the ground. Thanks go to Richard Ralphs from Worcester parkrun who gave a lot of his time and expertise in the early set up stages. A massive thank you to all the volunteers!
If you want to join us on Saturday morning as a runner, jogger, or volunteer then please get in touch. All you need to do at first is to register which is really simple, to get your bar code which you will need to bring with you and get scanned at the end of the run. If you want more information please look at the parkrun website and you can also check us out on Facebook.
