  • Highways – access/egress is a major problem at this very busy location
  • The application is outside the Settlement Boundary
  • The application proposed is on Undeveloped Agricultural Land
  • Development at this site would be out of keeping with the current street
  • scene.

026 19/0787/FULL Revision of earlier application for Change of use of land to site ten holiday lodges, demolition of two buildings, development of access track, sewerage treatment plant & erection of storage buildings at Olive Tree, Buckeridge Lane, Rock.

It was RESOLVED to recommend refusal for the following reasons: Council believes its an inappropiate development in a rural location. It as extremely poor access off Buckeridge Lane and onto the A456. Pound Bank on the A456 is a very fast flowing road and council has major highway concerns at either junction serving Buckeridge Lane. Council also has concerns regarding the lack of suitable drainage and damage it could cause the the adjoining SSSI Lands. The dangers for the protected species on the site were also given as reasons for refusal. The proposal fails to accord with several of the District Council’s policies regarding development in Rural areas. Rock Parish Council further requests that this matter be presented to the Planning Committee for consideration.
