Wyre Forest landlords urged to come forward
News release issued:
We are calling on landlords who own properties in Wyre Forest to get in touch if they can help us provide safe accommodation for victims of domestic abuse.
We are committed to making sure domestic abuse victims are given the support and assistance they need to live their lives free from abuse and harm.
We have a statutory duty to provide safe accommodation for survivors of domestic abuse and their children.
We would like to hear from landlords who own a self-contained 1 or 2 bedroom flat or house in the district available to lease for 2 years.
If you think you can help, please email our Housing Project Officer, Rachel Symons at rachel.symons@wyreforestdc.gov.uk.
Landlord forum
There will be a Landlord forum on Thursday 5 May, in partnership with the National Residents and Landlords Association (NRLA).
At last year’s forum a wide range of topics were presented which were well received by landlords and included:
- Updates on the latest legislative changes
- How to avoid possession costs by using mediation
- How to apply for direct rent payments if your tenant is in receipt of Universal Credit
- Information of property standards
