New countywide online landlords’ forum offers Covid-19 advice

News release issued:

Helping landlords understand the latest changes to regulations due to Covid-19 is one of the aims of a Worcestershire online landlords’ forum.

The free event is open to all landlords and letting agents in the county and is being held on Tuesday 8 June at 2pm.  It is being organised by the six district councils along with the National Residential Landlords Association. It will offer expert advice on the latest changes to legislation and explain all the options open to landlords to get the best outcomes for them and their tenants.

Councillor Nicky Martin, Wyre Forest District Council’s Cabinet Member for Cabinet Member for Housing, Health, Wellbeing and Democratic Services said:

“The pandemic has meant there have been many changes in regulations in the rental sector and now as we enter the next stages of the Government’s roadmap our forum is offering more support and advice to landlords. We have teamed up with the other local councils in the county and the National Residential Landlords Association to offer expert insights into the hot topics like resolving disputes in tenancies and how the mediation service works. It’s free and open to all landlords and letting agents across Worcestershire, and because it’s online we are not restricted on numbers. “

The district councils will also be sharing information on the schemes and initiatives available for landlords in their areas.

Any landlord or letting agent wanting to register for the event can visit https://www.wyreforestdc.gov.uk/landlordforum.
