Bewdley Museum to reopen tomorrow

News release issued:

Bewdley Museum is set to reopen tomorrow (Tuesday 17 August) following its temporary closure due to a positive case of Coronavirus.

The museum closed its doors on Thursday 12 August when a member of staff tested positive for COVID-19.

The reopening follows the Government’s rule change on Monday 16 August which states fully-vaccinated people do not need to self-isolate if they have been in close contact with someone who tests positive for the virus.

Members of staff returning to the museum have all tested negative for Coronavirus and do not have any symptoms.

Wyre Forest District Council has taken appropriate measures, in line with government guidelines, to make sure all contact areas have been deep cleaned and disinfected.

Children’s craft activities are cancelled this week but will recommence from Tuesday 24 August. All customers booked onto cancelled activities have been notified.

There is still time to book tickets for Boogaloo Babes. They will be playing in Jubilee Gardens on Saturday 21 August from 5.30pm. Tickets can be purchased online www.bewdleymuseum.co.uk/boogaloobabes or by calling 0845 607 7819.
