Get involved in the future of Bewdley Museum

News release issued:

Wyre Forest District Council is looking for skilled volunteers to play a key role in establishing Bewdley Museum as a fully independent trust.

The council is on the search for between five and seven voluntary trustees to sit on a new board to negotiate and manage Bewdley Museum’s transition.

Board members will also work together to shape its future by agreeing forward-thinking strategies, a business plan and more.

The council wants to attract local people who have had previous experience being a trustee or worked in the museum sector. It is also hoped that people with specific skill sets in finance, law, business and HR apply.

Details on how to apply can be found at https://reachvolunteering.org.uk/opp/bewdley-museum-trustee. The closing date for applications is Friday 30 April.

Ali Bakr, manager of Bewdley Museum said: “This is an excellent opportunity to be part of our small, friendly team and be actively involved with Bewdley Museum.

“You will also develop your skills, make a real difference in establishing a new trust on a successful footing and shape the museum’s future.
