There is more live music on Monday 1 May thanks to performances by the Sarah Martyn Duo, between 1.00pm and 3.30pm.
There will be children’s craft activities on both days. They can create ceramic toadstool bird feeders or herb planters. Activities cost £4 per child and will be available from 11.00am until 3.30pm.
The museum’s resident Made in the Museum crafts and artisan group will be on hand to show off their goods. The gift shop and trade stalls will be open for business both days from 10.00 until 4.00pm and you can pick up seasonal favourites from The Shambles cafe.
Alison Bakr, Museum Manager said:
“ It’s a lovely time of year for a visit to the museum. There is plenty going on and the gardens are looking great too. We are looking forward to people visiting our Spring Fair. You can pop down for a couple of hours or for the whole day, and if you take any pictures while you’re here please tag us when posting your photos on social media - we’d love to see them!”
There are two exhibitions currently running at the Museum. There are just a few days left to catch ‘The Changing Face of Load Street’. It features previously unseen photographs from the museum’s archives and gives a fascinating insight into the shop fronts of Bewdley over the past 150 years. It runs in the Gallery until Sunday 7 May.
The ‘Bones of the Landscape’ exhibition is running in the Saw Yard gallery until Sunday 25 June. It is a chance to view paintings, prints and drawings by artist who have all suffered sight loss.
There are plenty of opportunities to discover more about Bewdley throughout the year too. The museum has launched a guided tours programme. It begins in May and includes tours on the town’s trades, hostelries and brewery and the museum. The tours include a cream tea!
