Get your Council Tax bill by email
Help us save time, paper costs and the environment by registering for our online council tax ebilling service, instead of receiving traditional paper bills you will be emailed your bill as a PDF attachment in an email.
You will need your council tax account number (you will find this on the top left-hand corner of your bill) and a valid email address. When we receive the registration form we will send you a copy of your last bill to confirm that the service has been started.
What you need to know - our terms and conditions
If you register for ebilling you are confirming that everyone named on the bill agrees to receive all future council tax bills and adjustments by email only.
We will not send you a paper copy of the ‘Your services’ council tax leaflet. You can view our information leaflet and the breakdown of where your money goes.
All other notices and legal documents such as reminders, final notices or summonses will continue to be sent by post.
Email delivery relies on your email service provider and network connectivity working. The email and bill attachment is a normal email and not sent by secure encrypted transmission.
By signing up for online billing, you are agreeing to notify us in writing, if:
- Your email address changes
- You no longer have internet access
- You want to go back to getting your bills by post
You can also sign up to manage your account online using My tax and benefits.
We reserve the right to withdraw this arrangement with immediate effect if we consider that this facility is being misused or mismanaged. You will be notified in writing if the facility has been withdrawn.
If you have any questions about this service or need any help contact us.
