Worcestershire Macmillan Citizens Advice

Citizens Advice in Worcestershire is partnered with Macmillan Cancer Support to deliver a countywide specialist advice service for people affected by cancer.
If you are affected by cancer as a patient, family member or carer, medical treatment is probably your number one priority. But you may also have other practical concerns about money, employment, housing or something else large or small.
Worcestershire Macmillan Citizens Advice offers support specially designed to meet the advice needs of those affected by cancer.

Carers Worcestershire

Worcestershire Association of Carers is a registered charity that was founded in 1997 providing an independent source of information, advice and support for unpaid adult carers in Worcestershire.
The group represents carers at a local and national level and supports them to have a voice in decisions that affect them.

The service is safe, secure and homely and offers a wide range of activities. Designed to both stimulate and entertain, the team offers a friendly service with a family feel. There is also a relaxing, quiet room, a lounge /dining room and a kitchen with laundry area.

Support for people with Parkinsons

Wyre Forest Friendship Group offers information, friendship and support to local people with Parkinson's, their families and carers.
The group provides a mix of emotional and practical support for people affected by Parkinson's in your area.
Due to the pandemic face to face meetings have been suspended, but there is still support available online from the charity's UK website and via the national telephone helpline 0808 800 0303.

Home Instead Kidderminster offers a range of different types of care to meet the needs of clients, ensuring they have full involvement in the care they receive, whether that's a few hours days or 24 hours a day seven days a week.
Personal care services include help with bathing, dementia care and medication reminders.
Home Help services include collecting prescriptions, light housekeeping and help with shopping. And you can also choose from a range of companionship and conversation services, such as help with travel arrangements and participating in hobbies and crafts.
