This year is The Queen’s Platinum Jubilee. A special occasion as Her Majesty will be the first British monarch to have reached such a milestone.

While there are several national activities taking place throughout the year, Buckingham Palace is also keen that communities get involved in joining in the celebrations.

Event funding information

Do you want to bring an idea to life in your community that marks the Queen's Platinum Jubilee this year, why not Crowdfund it? We can also contribute up to £500 to Voluntary and Community group events, if the project is eligible. This year is a special year and we want everyone to enjoy celebrating Queen Elizabeth’s II Platinum Jubilee.

Worcestershire Lieutenancy and Wyre Forest District Council are encouraging the fantastic tree planting initiative to mark Her Majesty The Queen Platinum Jubilee in 2022.

Beacon Lighting

The lighting of the Beacons on 2 June 2022 will be the first community event of The Queen’s Platinum Jubilee Weekend. 1500 beacons will be lit around the Country and throughout the Commonwealth.
