Data we collect

The information we collect varies according to the purpose but would comprise some or all of the following;

  • personal information (such as name, addresses, dates of birth, national insurance numbers for you and certain persons in your household);
  • personal circumstances (such as relationships with others in the household, disabilities, certain medical details, whether you or any members of your household are a carer or being cared for, whether you or any members of your household are students, or persons from abroad)
  • financial information (such as all income and capital details, debts, whether you receive any maintenance, grants, loans or benefits)
  • housing details (such as the type of accommodation you currently live in, rent paid, landlord details and whether your rent is up to date); and
  • contact details (such as telephone numbers, email addresses to be able to contact you in relation to your claim)

  • Research inc. consultations

Why we are allowed to use your data

Legal obligation or public task under various UK laws including but not limited
to:

  • The Housing Acts 1985,1988, 1996, 2002, 2004
  • The Homelessness Reduction Act 2017
  • The Landlord and Tenant Act 1987
  • The Localism Act 2011
  • The Protection from Eviction Act 1977Housing Grants, Constructions and Regeneration 1996
  • Consent – consultations

Who we can share your data with

We do not share your data as a matter of course during the process of your application, however, if requested we may have to share your data with the following:

  • Government Departments e.g. HMRC, DWP, DCLG
  • Safeguarding Boards
  • Contractors providing housing services (e.g. plumbing, electricians, gas operatives etc.) and IT services

  • Environment Agency
  • Worcestershire Regulatory Services
