Access Gold

Access Gold is a scheme provided by Places for People Leisure in Partnership with Wyre Forest District Council, to provide support for the district's leading talented and elite sports performers. The winners of Access Gold have earned 1 year's free membership at the Wyre Forest Leisure Centre.

Applications for the 2017 Access Gold scheme are now closed. The successful candidates for Access Gold 2017 have been selected:

Erin Boddice

Erin is a member of Wyre Forest Cycle Racing Club. One of her many achievements is being was invited to ride for West Midlands in the Ride London Grand Prix, which is designed to showcase the cycling stars of the future. 

 

Gracie Shore

Gracie is a dancer with Harlequin Dance School. She has entered All England competitions and has won and  achieved success on a National level having representing England in dance.

Matthew Hatfield

Matthew plays for Kidderminster Cricket Club. He has also represented his county and district since the age of 10 years old as a top order batsman as well as bowling off spin.

Claire Cashmore

Local Swimmer Claire Cashmore has been made an honorary member of Access Gold for her achievements in Paralympic Swimming. Since 2004 she has regularly medalled at European Championships, World Championships, and has medalled at 4 Paralympic Games. We are wishing her all the best for qualifying for Tokyo 2020 in her new sport of Triathlon.   

Sam Annis

Sam is a well decorated freestyle skier for Stoke Freestyle Squad and competes at a national level. Sam has many achievements which includes British U12 Halfpipe Champion.

Luke Harris

Luke is a member of Halesowen Athletics and Cycling Club and is competing at a Regional, National, & International level. Two of his many achievements include winning the Welsh Omnium U12 Championships and the Midland Track Omnium Series.

Hetty Tinsdale

Hetty plays Netball for Alphabets and also competes as a Black Belt at Judo for Samurai Judo Club. She is a member of the Alfabets Regional Senior Squad and also part of the U19 WASP Stourbridge Netball Hub.

Darcie Hancocks

Darcie is currently a member of the National Judo Centre of Excellence. She is on the Great Britain and England Judo squads and was previously one of the youngest ever members of the England Talent Development programme.

Milly Jay

Milly is a Footballer and a Swimmer. She is part of the Wyre Forest Swimming Club gaining 16 County qualification times, and also a member of the Worcestershire FA County Development Football Squad. 

Alice Hatfield

Alice is a cricketer for Kidderminster Cricket Club and has been selected for  the Worcestershire County Cricket squad since Under 11 age. She has previously represented her County at Artistic Gymnastics and also Danced at All England Dance Championships. 

Nathaniel Crowther

Nathaniel is a swimmer with the Wyre Forest Swimming Club. He has represented Worcestershire at the Three Counties Gala with the County winning in 2017, and has medalled at the West Midland Regional Finals in the 200m Backstroke. 

Olivia O'Sullivan

Olivia is a Multi Event Athlete with Halesowen Athletics and Cycling Club. Her achievements include being County Shot Put Champion and 3rd in the West Midlands Power 10 High Jump. She is now moving on to Pole Vault for her next challenge. 

Abbie Rowley

Abbie is a swimmer with Wyre Forest Swimming Club who has been County Champion in her age group at 100m Freestyle. She also represents Worcestershire County in County Galas, and also has recently medalled at this years Regional Championships.
