Key responsibilities:

A member of the Corporate Leadership Team with lead responsibilities for all aspects of the Council's Financial Strategy and Financial Management, Revenues Benefits and Customer Services and Information, Communication and Technology (ICT). Tracey is the Councils statutory Section 151 Officer and  has Directorate responsibility for 56 F/T and 44 P/T employees including the following areas: Financial Services, Procurement, Payroll, Internal Audit,  Council Tax, Benefits, Customer Services and ICT.

Career information:

Tracey  joined Wyre Forest District Council in June 1979 straight from High School and studied for her professional qualifications while working across the Council in multiple roles taking the post of Group Accountant Housing in 1986 following her qualification as a Chartered Public Accountant.   In January 1990 Tracey left the Council to start a family and returned in  1992 in a temporary part-time  project role covering the implementation of Compulsory Competitive Tendering legislation. In 1997 Tracey returned in a full time permanent capacity as Group Accountant. Following several financial roles Tracey was appointed to the post of  Chief Financial officer in July 2013 and latterly as Director Resources from June 2017.

Salary:

£74,101 (April 2017)
