Review 2014

Under the Representation of the People Act 1983, the council has a legal duty to divide the authority area into polling districts and to designate a polling place for each polling district. It also has a duty to keep these arrangements under review.

On 14 October 2014 the Local Government Boundary Commission for England confirmed its plan to reduce the number of wards within the Wyre Forest district from 17 to 12.  This took effect from the District Council elections in May 2015.

Views were invited from residents and other interested groups to comment on proposals for changes to the polling districts and polling places that are used for parliamentary and local government elections based on the new ward arrangements.

The Consultation is now closed. You can view the Polling Districts and Polling Places consultation document here and responses can be viewed here.

The proposals were considered by Council on Wednesday 10 December 2014.

The outcome of Council was that the polling districts and polling places as set out in the chart at paragraph 4.5 of the report to Council were to be used with effect from the Elections in May 2015.
