Rubbish and recycling

Please put your bin at the kerbside by 6am for collection. Please do not cause an obstruction to neighbours, pedestrians or vehicles but make sure we can see and get to your bin easily. For households with communal bin stores, bins will normally be collected from the stores provided they are open and not blocked by vehicles.

If you are unsure where is the best place to put your bin for collection please contact us and we will advise you. If you need help getting your bin out for collection please request a pull out service.

As a householder your rubbish is your responsibility. If your domestic waste is flytipped, the law states you could be held responsible and face prosecution, even if someone else has dumped it (such as a rogue trader who offered to dispose of it for you).

Food waste

Organic food waste such as fruit/veg peelings, egg shells, tea bags and coffee grounds can be placed into a home compost bin if you have one. Alternatively, please put all food waste, especially meat/dairy and cooked food in your black bin.

Please do not put food waste in your green bin – it can contaminate a whole load of recycling, which will all be rejected.
