The Chaddesley Corbett Neighbourhood Plan has been made by the District Council and came into effect on 25th September 2014.
A referendum relating to Chaddesley Corbett Neighbourhood Plan was held on Thursday 11 September 2014. The question which was asked in the referendum was:
‘Do you want Wyre Forest District Council to use the Neighbourhood Plan for Chaddesley Corbett to help it decide planning applications in the neighbourhood area?’
The Referendum area was the Parish Area of Chaddesley Corbett and was identical to the area which has been designated as the Chaddesley Corbett Neighbourhood Area.
The Referendum was conducted in accordance with procedures similar to those used at local government elections.
There were 328 votes cast in total, of which 265 (81%) were in favour of the plan, to 62 (19%) votes against the plan. One ballot paper was rejected and the turnout was 27.8%.
The Examiner's Report for the Chaddesley Corbett Neighbourhood Plan was received on Monday 23rd June 2014. It concluded that with some minor amendments the Plan meets the Basic Conditions and can progress to a local referendum. The report concluded that the referendum area should be the designated Neighbourhood Area which is the Parish of Chaddesley Corbett.
On 22nd July 2014 the independent examiner's report was considered at a Cabinet meeting. Cabinet decided that minor modifications should be made to the Chaddesley Corbett Neighbourhood Plan, as set out in the examiner's report, and proceed through referendum.
The decision statement has now been published.
The referendum will be held on Thursday 11th September 2014.
