Personal Search Appointments (Land Charges)

Anyone can make a request to carry out a Personal Search. However, they should be prepared and competent to carry out a search and inspection of local authority records without assistance from local authority staff.

We offer no compensation for Personal Searches.

Both the Land Charges Register and Planning Registers are made available for inspection, free of charge, at our offices in Wyre Forest House, Finepoint Way, Kidderminster, DY11 7WF.

Please Note: From the 2nd July 2018 the office used for personal search appointments will no longer be available to us. Therefore the plotting sheets will be sent away to be scanned with a view to making them available on our public access computers located in reception. In the meantime, whilst the plotting sheets are not available to view, the Land Charges team will provide both the Land Charges Register and the entries contained within the Con29 2016 1.1a-k, this will include all Refused and Withdrawn planning applications dating back to 1974 and Building Control information dating back to 2002. We still ask that you book an appointment, but we will only require the date you wish to attend. A specific time slot is no longer required as the paperwork will be made available at reception for you to inspect at a time to suit you. Reception opening hours are 9am - 5pm Monday to Friday.

The paperwork is made available for inspection only and under no circumstances should be removed from our offices, it should not be photocopied, photographed etc.
