Deputy Leader and Cabinet Member for operational services Cllr Ian Hardiman said:
“A full and thorough internal investigation is under way into a collision in Wribbenhall involving a council vehicle this morning.
“Structural damage was caused to a property in Warstone Meadows when a council vehicle collecting garden waste rolled down a steep driveway. Thankfully no-one was injured although another vehicle on the drive was also damaged.
“Our Operational Services Manager attended and we will be offering whatever assistance and support we can to the owners of the property.
“We hope to be able to complete the round today but would ask householders to leave out their brown bins and we will complete collections tomorrow if necessary.”
