Wyre Forest District Council has won gold again for the quality of information it maintains on local addresses.
For the fourth year running it has been awarded a GeoPlace Exemplar Gold Performance Award for the quality and accuracy of information in its property Gazetteer.
The awards are given each year by GeoPlace, a partnership made up of the Local Government Association and Ordnance Survey.
Wyre Forest is one of only two Worcestershire councils to pick up Gold Performance Awards which recognise those who have “consistently maintained the highest level of data quality” between April 2015 and March 2016.
Addresses make up the district’s Gazetteer – the definitive list of every address within Wyre Forest District.
Council leader Cllr Marcus Hart said: “I’m very proud that we have maintained such an excellent standard for the fourth consecutive year. It underlines our ongoing commitment to providing excellent public services.
“I’d like to congratulate everyone involved, especially our data management officer Mark Tipper, who leads our work in this field.”
