Wyre Forest District Council is taking part in the big clean up during the month of March in recognition of Her Majesty’s 90th Birthday.

Clean for the Queen is a nationwide community clean-up campaign. Local businesses, schools, community groups and individuals are all being encouraged to get involved.

The council will provide the appropriate equipment to those who wish to take part and will dispose of any rubbish collected. Residents can also request a street sweep after the area has been litter picked.

Councillor Ian Hardiman, Wyre Forest District Council’s Cabinet Member for Operational Services said:

“We hope Wyre Forest residents will turn out in force to support this fantastic campaign. It’s a great chance for the community to get together and help improve the surrounding areas. We will be providing ring bags, litter pickers and gloves to those taking part.”

Anyone wishing to get involved can email operationalservices@wyreforestdc.gov.uk or call 01562 732528.

Equipment is available for collection from the Green Street Depot, Kidderminster, DY10 1HA as of 1 March 2016.
