Brinton Park in Kidderminster and the Queen Elizabeth II Jubilee Gardens in Bewdley are once again proudly flying the Green Flag award after making it on to the list of the best parks and green spaces in the country.
They have both been award the prestigious Green Flag award, the national standard for parks and open spaces, which recognises and rewards the best in the UK.
Green Flag parks are judged on an annual basis and status is only awarded when all criteria is met, creating a benchmark of excellence for all recreational open spaces.
Members of Wyre Forest District Council’s parks and open spaces team joined cabinet member for operational services Cllr Ian Hardiman and some younger park users this week to celebrate the good news.
Cllr Hardiman said: “It’s brilliant news for everyone who uses our parks, this continuing success underlines the commitment and hard work by everyone in our parks and open spaces team in delivering wonderful open spaces for our residents and visitors to enjoy.”
