Vandals have recently damaged the Bandstand in Brinton Park, Kidderminster. It has cost Wyre Forest District Council more than £250 to repair.
The Bandstand has recently been refurbished thanks to our Parks and Open Spaces Team and took three weeks to complete.
This is the second spate of vandalism to occur in the park in just over a month. A memorial of eight young birch trees was destroyed in August 2015.
Councillor Ian Hardiman, Cabinet Member for Operational Services said:
“The Parks and Open Spaces Team worked hard to refurbish the Bandstand to a very high standard and we are extremely disappointed to see such damage. Unfortunately, this mindless vandalism spoils it for users of the park and wastes tax payers’ money. I would like to urge anyone with information to get in touch as soon as possible.”
