Councillor John Campion, Wyre Forest District Council’s Cabinet Member for Planning and Economic Regeneration will be responding to tweets and questions between 6pm – 7pm.
The Council is preparing a new Local Plan for the next 15 years. It will set out how much new housing, employment and retail development needs to be provided for in the Wyre Forest District and where it will be located.
Councillor John Campion, Cabinet Member for Planning and Economic Regeneration said:
“I would like to encourage local residents and businesses to take up this opportunity to ask questions about future developments and growth in the area. You can tweet us your questions before the event. Regeneration of the area is a key priority for the Council and we want your views to help shape the future of the district.”
Anyone who is unable to take part in the live question and answer session on Twitter can also visit remaining roadshows. They are on Saturday 12 September 2015, 10.00am – 2.00pm - Weavers Wharf, Kidderminster and Thursday 17 September 2015, 10.00am - 3.00pm - Kidderminster Market.
The twitter session is part of the Council’s consultation on developing its new Local Plan. The authority has prepared an ‘Issues and Options Consultation Paper’ as the first stage in the review, which is open for comments until Friday 16 October. It is a chance for residents to get involved at an early stage and have a say on new opportunities for growth in our area.
